Filipino Artistry: Lumban Embroidery in Modern Times
This video is about embroidery in Lumban but with modern touch. The person I interviewed for this only started her business in embroidery in 1991, unlike others who are already in the business since the 70s or could be earlier than that.
Because of their artistry or the way they embroidered on Barongs and Terno (Filipiniana clothes), Lumban was declared as Embroidery Capital of the Philippines. They even have festival to commemorate their arts.
